I am planning on writing my paper on the characters of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. I think that the characters in the book could represent something else instead of just a character Lewis Corroll came up with for no particular reason. The characters that I will probably be writing about are: Alice, Queen of Hearts, the Hatter, Cheshire-Cat, and any others that i can find. The research question I think I need would be somewhere alond the lines of: What do the characters in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland symbolize.
The only problem I see with this topic is the actual size of the project. Try to limit yourself to one or two characters in the novel. Really focus on what they mean and what they could represent. You don't want to be too broad with your topic! Think about what you are trying to say about the novel and limit your argument to a couple of characters that illustrate what you are trying to say.
